4 Step Process
Know the Exam Structure
It is critical to know what content will be tested on in the exam and the weighting of each topic in order to strategically plan your studies. The curriculum for each Red Seal Trade is set out in the National Occupational Analysis (NOA). The NOA clearly defines key Tasks and Sub-Tasks as well, specifies the percentage of each that can be expected on the exam. Each of our courses offer a guide for NOA and is divided into the mandated tasks.
A key part of success in comprehensive exams like the Red Seal is to determine where your strengths and weaknesses lie. This allows you to concentrate where needed. Our courses offer quizzes for each of the Red Seal Trade tasks to allow for self-assessment. As well, a Mock Red Seal Exam structured with the appropriate weighting of each task is also provided to help with time management and ease exam anxiety.
Review and Reflect
At XLR8ed we believe that simply offering questions and answers is not good enough. Why is the answer correct? Why are the others wrong? Each of our questions come with a complete written Answer Justification (explanation) with graphics and videos where appropriate. Our quizzes and exams are randomly generated from our exam bank for each trade. Depending upon the trade our exam banks contain from 800 to over 1600 questions.
Re-Assess and Repeat
Once you complete a Task Quiz review the results understand why the answer are correct. If you are weak in any specific Task re-attempt the quiz repeatedly. The quizzes and exam will change with each attempt but will be based on the same content.
